About Rowan

Rowan has been fascinated by birth, breastfeeding, and babies for as long as she can remember. It was in 2002, shortly after becoming a mother herself, that this interest became a passion and drove her to action.  She began volunteering as a breastfeeding counsellor with Nourri-Source, which she continued to do for 10 years. During this time she had the honour of attending the births of friends and acquaintances and saw first-hand how birth and breastfeeding are intrinsically linked. In 2010 Rowan earned the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential and began a private practice in Montreal. By 2012 she had completed the Montreal Birth Companions doula training and has been living and working in Québec’s Eastern Townships since 2013.

Rowan has experience working with a diverse group of families in various settings (homes, hospitals, and birthing centres).  Clients describe her approach as thoughtful, practical, and reassuring.
